Leave the A29, take exit Varel-Obenstrohe towards Spohle, Obenstrohe and Altjührden. Pass the city entrance of Varel-Obenstrohe. Follow the road for approx. 700 m. Leave the Wiefelsteder Straße L819 and turn right into Mühlenteichstraße L818. Follow the road for approx. 1 km. The Upstalsboom Landhotel Friesland is on the left side.

Switch from A31 to A28 at the interchange Leer and go towards Odenburg. Leave A28 at exit 6 Westerstede and follow the Ammerlandallee towards Varel/Neuenburg/Hüllstede. From the Ammerlandallee turn right onto the road Zum Hullen L820. Follow the road going through Spohle and after Spohle you turn left into Vareler Straße L819. Follow the road until you reach the hotel.
